Contacting the User - subscription
You are given the opportunity to subscribe to our notifications and newsletters. The subscription form used for this purpose determines what personal data are transmitted and when the notifications and newsletters are requested from the controller.
A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address provided by you for the first time. This confirmation e-mail is used to prove whether the owner of the e-mail address, as the data subject, is authorized to receive the information we send out. The subscription to our notifications and newsletters may be terminated at any time.
The notifications and newsletters may contain so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphics embedded in such e-mails, which are sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and analysis. This allows a statistical analysis of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. Based on the embedded tracking pixel, we may see if and when you open a certain email message that we sent. We may also track which links in the email message you clicked on. This information is used to provide better service to you.
Cookie Policy
This Policy informs you about the technologies that help TrendMD achieve the purposes described below. Such technologies allow TrendMD to access and store information (for example, by using a Cookie) or use resources (for example, by running a script) on your device as they interact with TrendMD.
For simplicity, all such technologies are defined as "Trackers" within this document — unless there is a reason to differentiate.
For example, while Cookies can be used on both web and mobile browsers, it would be inaccurate to talk about Cookies in the context of mobile apps as they are a browser-based Tracker. For this reason, within this document, the term Cookies is only used where it is specifically meant to indicate that particular type of Tracker.
Some of the purposes for which Trackers are used may also require the User's consent. Whenever consent is given, it can be freely withdrawn at any time, following the instructions provided in this document.
TrendMD uses Trackers managed directly by TrendMD (so-called “first-party” Trackers) and Trackers that enable services provided by a third party (so-called “third-party” Trackers). Unless otherwise specified within this document, third-party providers may access the Trackers managed by them.
The validity and expiration periods of Cookies and other similar Trackers may vary depending on the lifetime set by TrendMD or the relevant provider. Some of them expire upon termination of your browsing session.
In addition to what’s specified in the descriptions within each of the categories below, you may find more precise and updated information regarding lifetime specification as well as any other relevant information — such as the presence of other Trackers — in the linked privacy policies of the respective third-party providers or by contacting TrendMD using this contact form.
Activities strictly necessary for the operation of TrendMD and delivery of the Service
TrendMD uses so-called “technical” Cookies and other similar Trackers to carry out activities that are strictly necessary for the operation or delivery of the Service.
First-party Trackers
Storage duration: up to 3 months
How to manage preferences on TrendMD
You can set or update your preferences via the relevant privacy choices panel available on TrendMD.
With regard to any third-party Trackers, you can manage your preferences and withdraw your consent (TO BE REMOVED) via the related opt-out link (where provided), by using the means indicated in the third party's privacy policy, or by contacting the third party.
How to control or delete Cookies and similar technologies via your device settings
You may use your own browser settings to:
- See what Cookies or other similar technologies have been set on the device;
- Block Cookies or similar technologies;
- Clear Cookies or similar technologies from the browser.
The browser settings, however, do not allow granular control of consent by category.
Users can, for example, find information about how to manage Cookies in the most commonly used browsers at the following addresses:
You may also manage certain categories of Trackers used on mobile apps by opting out through relevant device settings, such as the mobile device advertising settings or tracking settings in general (you may open the device settings and look for the relevant setting).
Consequences of denying the use of Trackers
You are free to decide whether or not to allow the use of Trackers. However, please note that Trackers help TrendMD to provide a better experience and advanced functionalities to you (in line with the purposes outlined in this document). Therefore, if you choose to block the use of Trackers, TrendMD may be unable to provide related features.
Data Controller
Since the use of third-party Trackers through TrendMD cannot be fully controlled by TrendMD, any specific references to third-party Trackers are to be considered indicative. In order to obtain complete information, you are kindly requested to consult the privacy policies of the respective third-party services.
Given the objective complexity surrounding tracking technologies, you are encouraged to contact TrendMD should you wish to receive any further information on the use of such technologies by TrendMD. For such questions, use this contact form.
