In a nutshell, you can add standardized meta tags to your article pages. This will make your website compatible with TrendMD and dramatically increase its discoverability on Google and Google Scholar.
We will soon have easy plugins for various blogging platforms, such as WordPress and Drupal. In the meantime, if your site uses WordPress, you can easily add meta tags using this plugin.
Here is a simple plugin that injects the JScript into the footer of your article pages on WordPress without any coding.
Step 1: Adding standardized meta tags
For the widget to make recommendations, the following elements are needed:
Abstract and/or blog content
TitleFirst author
Publication date
All articles on your site that contain this information will be included in the internal recommendation pool.
